Itinerary

Day 1UB to Baga Gazriin Chuluu

Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a range of granite hills surrounded by the desert. It is believed Chinggis Khaan grazed his horses here. These hills are a good place for scrambling and hiking. On the way to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, we will visit Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain. The mountain is venerated and revered by the locals, who believe it is the home of a great, benevolent spirit.

Day 2Tsagaan Suvarga

Known as Mongolia’s answer to the Grand Canyon, this rock formation has been shaped by thousands of years of wind and water erosion. From a distance, it can be mistaken for the ruins of an ancient city. It offers magnificent views over the Gobi desert.

Day 3Yoliin Am

Yoliin Am (“vultures mouth”) is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park in Southern Mongolia. Yoliin Am is notable for a deep ice field ice. This ice field reaches several meters thick by the end of winter, and is several kilometers long and can sometimes remain frozen throughout the summer.

Day 4Bayanzag

Your exploits across the Gobi desert will continue finishing with one final night under the star studded Gobi sky camping or enjoying the hospitality of a nomadic family one last time.

Day 5Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain

Zorgol khairkhan mountain is revered by the locals, who believe it is the home of a great, benevolent spirit.

Day 6Travel back to UB

With nothing but fond memories and Gobi sand in your wake you will return to UB, most trips arrive back in UB by 6pm.
